Why Patients Across Suffolk County Choose This Practice

  • You see the surgeon. At many larger orthopedic groups, your first visit — and often several after it — is with a physician assistant, and you may not meet the operating surgeon until the day of surgery. Here, Dr. Zusmanovich performs the evaluation himself.

  • Minimally invasive whenever possible. Arthroscopic technique means smaller incisions, less post-operative pain, and a faster return to activity than open surgery.
  • Sports medicine expertise, applied to everyone. The same approach that returns a collegiate athlete to competition works for a 52-year-old who wants to finish a round of golf without shoulder pain. Return to activity is the goal from the first visit.
  • Access when you need it. Walk-in hours at the West Babylon office, evening appointments until 8 PM on Mondays, and same-week availability across all four locations.

Injured Today? Skip the ER Wait

For a sprain, a suspected fracture, or a sports injury, an emergency room means hours of waiting to be seen by someone who isn’t an orthopedic specialist — and who will tell you to follow up with one anyway. The West Babylon office offers walk-in orthopedic care for both new and existing patients:

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Suffolk County office should I go to?

Whichever is most convenient. Dr. Zusmanovich sees patients at all four. West Babylon has the longest hours and walk-in availability, so it’s often the best choice for a fresh injury. For routine follow-up, most patients pick the closest office.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, at the West Babylon office — Mondays 8 AM–8 PM, Thursdays 8 AM–5 PM, and Fridays 1–4 PM, for new and existing patients. Calling ahead reduces your wait.

How soon can I get an appointment?

Same-week appointments are generally available across all four offices, and time is held for acute injuries.

Do you treat teenage athletes?

Yes. Dr. Zusmanovich’s practice centers on sports medicine, and he treats high school, college, and recreational athletes alongside active adults.

Will I definitely need surgery?

Not necessarily. Many knee, shoulder, hip, and elbow conditions improve with physical therapy, bracing, injections, or activity modification. Surgery is recommended only when conservative treatment hasn’t worked and an operation offers the best path forward.
